Moms, Please Support Moms: Let’s Build Each Other Up

Spread the love

Christmas Picture 4

I’ve said it before. I will say again. Motherhood is hard stuff. The hardest job I’ve every had and probably will ever have. It is also the most rewarding, isn’t it? I am thankful for the support I get in my family, in my community and online from other moms. I feel quite blessed in fact. But it isn’t always easy. Two kids and a blog keeps me pretty busy and I miss out on more than I’d like to.

Do you have a support community?

support moms quote

The US Census Bureau estimates that there are 82.5 millions mothers in the US. Moms, if we just band together as a community and support one another, I am certain that brilliant and exciting things could happen in our personal families, our community and our nation. What do you think?

ways to support moms

7 Ways to Support Moms

  • Give her an afternoon off by watching the kids for her
  • Bring her some food one afternoon so she doesn’t have to cook dinner
  • Run an errand for her
  • Bring her a small gift
  • Be a good listener when she needs you
  • Help clean her home
  • Support her dreams

What other ways can you think of to support other moms?

The last point I shared above was support her dreams. One very exciting way to support moms, I learned about this week, is a new crowdfunding website specifically for moms with brilliant ideas. MUMZY is the only crowdfunding website that is geared specifically for moms. Still a very new website, they are looking for more ideas, and even constructive feedback. {Here’s your chance to really help another mom just by giving her feedback on this exciting website!}

Easy and free to join, www.mumzy.com is the place to:

  1. Submit your ideas or projects
  2. Raise capital
  3. Grow your  business

Do you have a great idea or project you’d love to start? Head over to MUMZY and sign up. The first 100 people who post a project to MUMZY will have a chance to win $1,000 back towards their project’s funding goal! Even if you don’t have an idea now, why don’t you take a look at ideas from other moms? I love the Chic Nursing Wrap idea. This mom is trying to raise $4,000 to get it started. You have to check it out — and help her out if you can. 82.5 million mothers in the US, just think about the market we make, and the ability to make other moms dreams come true.

So true! I love lifting people up and not tearing them down. Life it too short to criticize people!

What a great message and something we all need to do more often, lets build each other up – not tear eachother down.

it would be nice if people spent more time being kind to each other instead of gossiping and talking junk behind backs, so true. being a mom is hard enough without all the judgement,

I couldn’t agree more. I didn’t have this kind of support when my kids were little, and it was so stressful, and so overwhelming! This can make a mom’s day — or week!
