Toddlers are picky. I am thankful to Enfagrow for sponsoring today’s post.

8 Ways to Get DHA into Your Toddler's Diet

Do you know what DHA is? Do you know if your children are getting this important nutrient? Toddlers have a tendency to be picky and DHA is one key nutrient that’s particularly hard to get from the foods toddlers typically eat. Did you know that on average, toddlers are only getting about 25% of the brain-nourishing DHA many experts recommend? That means it is important for parents to take action and work to close this nutritional gap.

DHA is an omega-3 fatty acid and a key building block for the brain. Since 85% of brain growth happens within the first three years of a child’s life, it is important to maintain the expert recommended levels of DHA through the toddler years.

8 Ways to Get DHA into Your Toddler's Diet

I know, it can be challenging to close this nutrition gap. Luckily, there are convenient products like Enfagrow Toddler on the market that help make it easy to ensure your child is getting DHA in their diet every day. Enfagrow toddler drinks are nutritionally tailored for toddlers one to three years and designed to complement a toddler’s regular diet.

Not only does it have DHA, Enfagrow also has important nutrients like:

  • calcium
  • vitamin D
  • iron
  • prebiotics

Enfagrow is sold in a powder or convenient ready-to-drink boxes. For Toddler Next Step 3, I mixed four scoopfulls of powder into 4oz of water. It was easier to use a blender bottle to mix this thicker drink. If you don’t have a blender bottle you can obviously use a fork.

They didn’t have this when my boys were young. I think it’s terrific to see different formulas to accommodate different children’s needs.

I like that it has all the nutrients and vitamins my little girl needs and that she likes the taste of it. Especially since she’s lactose intolerant, and she doesn’t like the taste of other options like silk and almond milk.

I love the nutrients it has to make infants strong.
