Practicing Thankfulness: Pee, Popcorn, Pledge Dusters, Prayer

April 9, 2009 By LaVonne

Spread the love

So this week I want to give thanks for things that start with P. The last few days on Sesame Street they have been doing the letter P. So I will follow suit. (See what I have become!?! Goodness, who am I? Oh yeah, a mommy.)

Practicing Thankfulness

  • Pee Pee – Isabella went Pee Pee again this morning in her potty chair. It took about 10 minutes of sitting there after we woke up but I was patient. Thanks commenters on this previous post for all the advice on potty training. I am taking it all to heart.
  • Popcorn – So we are on Weight Watchers again. Both hubby and were able to lose weight on it last fall. But after the holidays we didn’t care for a little while. So now we are counting points once more. (I have about 15 lbs more to go.) And luckily I can eat my favorite food every night while watching American Idol. Plus, the Orville Redenbacher 100 calorie mini bag is only 2 points!
  • Pledge Dusters – So I am not a good duster. (Mom, if you are reading this, I blame you.) But a while back I got a box of goodies from BzzAgent and inside was a Pledge Duster with a couple boxes of refills. Now, I am not usually an advocate (at least publicly) of throw away cleaners. I mean why not buy one you can wash and reuse? (Which I do have too.) But there is something so easy about using this thing on my blinds. I am so thankful that BzzAgent sent it to me. It makes blind cleaning (that sounds strange?) easier. Easier cleaning anytime is good for me.
  • And last but not least, I am thankful for Prayer. It is the most important “P” on my list. God answers our family’s prayers and even when the answer is no I am still thankful. (Though it is much harder.) I know God is in control of this family and that makes me content. Plus, when my Princess (hey, another “P” I am always thankful for) prays with us, well, that is perfectly pleasing to me.

What are you thankful for this week?
