All About Her – My Princess

March 29, 2013 By LaVonne

Spread the love

My daughter and I went on mommy daughter date last week and had a great time. I bought a new dress. She ate orange sherbet for the first time and loved it. It is hard to believe how fast time is going by. This is what it will always be like. A blink. And she’ll be gone. Grown up. It is so bittersweet.

Princess

My Princess

She loves to dance in the aisle during song service.

She steals the iPhone to watch Kung Fu Panda way too loudly during prayer.

She is independent and stubborn.

She has no idea how to whisper.

She colors pictures really well.

She can play with imaginary friends for hours.

She sings daily and my favorite songs are always made up.

She cannot drop an idea or thought or sentence. She MUST finish what she starts.

I can’t keep her still or quiet for long.

She prefers skirts and dresses every day.

She loves so well that it is smothering at times.

She likes nail polish, Disney Princesses, and lip gloss.

Her favorite Bible story is the story of Ruth and Boaz.

She either wants to be a police woman, dancer, singer, or dentist.

My favorite recent quote from her:

“Daddy, brother and Jesus are on my side Mommy. Satan is on your side.”

{When she was getting into trouble and didn’t want to hear me get after her.}

I really love this beautiful clever girl.

I love this idea!!! I tend to be so busy just getting through the day that I forget to stop and enjoy these small moments with my daughters. The picture is so great, it really captures her spirit!!

Yes, I now have an iPhone and I have been using an app called Notabli to remember all the things she is doing and saying. I love it!

Sad…child needs boundaries, discipline. Love AND discipline her.

This is so sweet. You are right to treasure all of her firsts – even orange sherbet. Our children grow up much too quickly.

This reminds me. I need a date with my darling girl. I love orange sherbet, maybe I could take Jas out for sherbet.
