Pre-K Homeschool

February 19, 2012 By LaVonne

Spread the love

I have not updated you all for a little while about how our homeschooling has been going. So I wanted to share the latest with you.

We are having a great time! I have cracked down since my Princess turned 4 and even purchased a 34 week curriculum. We have been doing very well. We have incorporated lower case letters, letter sounds, and simple math into our school work now.

Here is what our typical pre-K homeschool morning looks like:

  • a short Bible story and prayer
  • Scripture song – {we play the same one all week. I am hoping this will help my Princess learn some easy Bible Scriptures}
  • Pledge of Allegiance
  • Calendar and Weather
  • Preschool Songs
  • School Work (A mix of work books and printables)
  • Games (letter and number games)
  • Crafts

We are having a great time. I have been organizing and filling my binder, trying to stay ahead. This routine has really seemed to help my Princess – even through out the day, which I am grateful for.

Here are a few websites that I appreciate:

  • Confessions of a Homeschooler
  • StarFall
  • Hubbard’s Cupboard (Bible Based)

Are you homeschooling? Do you have any website that you’d like to recommend to me?

I am always looking for more great websites. You can also check out my Pinterest board, “Homeschool“, for more great sites.

I know. There is so much out there. And free too! I love it.

My little girl is only 18 months – but when she gets older I would love to homeschool her! I doubt that I’ll be able to, with all of the other obligations in my life, but for now – we love our “school” time each afternoon, and I love to watch her learn and discover new things!

One of my favorite sites is School Sparks – Really awesome free resources 🙂

Meagan, we started when my daughter was 2 and she loved it. Still does. We do have a good time. And I love finding great free printables, books and apps online.

Nichole, (my middle name is Nichole and I spell it the same way!), do you use any kit or website to do Pre-K?

Thanks for coming by. I will head to your blog next to return the favor.

Katie, we started at 2 years old, when my Princess was getting interested in letters. We had fun. (She was going to be 3 years old in 3 months when we started.)

      Thanks for coming by!

My spouse and I absolutely love your blog and find nearly all of your post’s to be exactly what I’m looking for. Would you offer guest writers to write content for yourself? I wouldn’t mind creating a post or elaborating on a few of the subjects you write regarding here. Again, awesome weblog!
