Preschool Lesson Outline

Spread the love

preschool lesson outline

I enjoy taking notes and making outlines. So when I decided to do preschool this year with my Princess, I first made an outline. I must admit once I made the outline and looked at resources online, I learned that homeschooling takes a lot of work.

My daughter is only 2 years old so this is going to be pretty basic preschool homeschool. She is very interested in books and learning so I know she will enjoy this time together.

These are the subjects I would like to teach my Preschool Princess:

  • Art
  • Science/Creation
  • Reading
  • Numbers
  • Colors and Shapes
  • Bible

We are going to have school time in the morning after breakfast. We will only have school for 3o minutes to 1 hour in the morning. I will incorporate more time in other ways through out the day. For example, recipes, visits to museums and parks, and educational DVDs.

Preschool Homeschool:

Art

We will utilize the things we have and just create:

  • Watercolors
  • washable markers
  • crayons
  • stickers
  • construction paper, doodle pad
  • scissors
  • glue sticks

I want my Princess to be familiar with ways to make art and enjoy those ways. We will also do tracing, and mazes.

Science/Creation: With a focus on creation I’d like my Princess to easily identify animals and body parts. We will also do some simple science experiments for fun.

Reading:

  • Alphabet
  • Letter of the Week
  • Reading books

My goal is for her to recognize letters, sing the ABC song, be able to recognize her name, and possibly even spell her name. I also want her to continue learning simple Scripture verses.

Numbers: We will practice counting from 1-10. I want her to easily identify how many of an item there are. We will use egg cartons, rocks, candies, and more to learn about numbers.

Colors and Shapes: I want her to know primary colors and simple shapes (circle, square, triangle) and even be able to draw simple shapes. I also will incorporate matching games and puzzles.

Do any of you have any tips, suggestions or ideas to share with me?

We will always start our school time with prayer. If you’d pray for us and her learning and my teaching, I’d appreciate it!
