On Vacation

April 28, 2009 By LaVonne

Spread the love

We flew to Washington last Thursday for 10 ten days. It is so strange not blogging regularly or reading my favorite blogs. (I may be going through withdrawls.) I finally went on the internet and had 142 emails in one account! I don’t even want to check my “junk” email account. I am sure I have too many.

After flying first class the last four times, I flew coach on Southwest. Junk! I hate coach now. I got spoiled. (Thanks Dad.) Isabella kept dropping everything and with her on my lap I couldn’t bend down to reach anything. Plus, to top it off the flight was completely full. Not one empty seat. (I tried to put toys and books on the middle seat to keep it open as long as possible. It worked until the very end. Our middle seat was the last to be taken.) Sorry to the man who sat beside us and tried to actually work. I worked hard though, and my Princess only cried at the end for less than a minute! I think I am SuperMom now ๐Ÿ˜‰

Friday we drove out to the Keystone Ferry and headed over to La Push. We stayed in a cabin on the beach. There is no TV, cell phone service or internet. Just sun, sand, waves, and fresh air. Awwww… the good life. I took 2 baths in a huge tub while I was there and ate lots of junk food (hey, I’m on vacation!). If you have not seen the beauty of the Pacific Northwest or the Washington coast, you are truly missing out. (La Push and Forks also happens to be the same area that the Twilight Saga “takes place”. So my sister and I bought matching “Team Bella” sweatshirts.)

Tomorrow we are going out to the Tulip fields nearby my parent’s house for some great pictures. The annual Tulip Festival is a highlight for the Skagit County, and I am going to go wild with the camera in the fields of pink tulips and Isabella.

While gone I got another award! Thanks Melonie, again! You are a good friend. I will have to pass it along soon.
