What Bath Time Means to This Mommy

October 15, 2013 By LaVonne

Thank you Nuby for sponsoring today's post. Bath time for me is thirty minutes of quick catch up on emails and social media. In the daytime, I don't get to utitlize my iPhone or laptop as often as I want. And, I guess that's a good thing. With homeschool, and staying at home with the kids, a lot of the day is spent with them. They have no idea how lucky they are to have both of their parents with them most of the day. So as a mom, when 6:30 pm rolls around, I usually throw my Little Man … [Read more...]

We were sent two cups to review: the Clik-it™ Easy Grip™ and the Clik-it™ FlexStraw™. I will be honest right from the start, we loved the Clik-it™ FlexStraw™ so much that we took it on our trip to Disneyland. And guess what happened? We lost it at Disneyland the … [Read more...]

My Baby Has an Ear Infection!

My Little Man and my Princess both have an ear infection. Let me tell you, life has been difficult here at home. My 5 year old has been dealing with it quite fine,  but the baby? It has been a long few days. I am praying that things get better soon. The nurse we saw this week told us we could give him ibuprofen for pain or fever and to keep him hydrated with lots of water. Thankfully we have the Nûby™ No-Spill™ Sports Sipper to easily keep our Little Man hydrated at home and on the … [Read more...]

8 Table Manners For Kids

June 3, 2013 By LaVonne

Thank you Nuby for sponsoring today's post. I am thankful that my daughter, who is 5, has pretty good table manners. We had to work on it though. She wants to stand, run around, chew with her mouth open, and eat whenever she wants to eat. But, we have consistently tried to teach her good meal habits. Here is a list of 8 table manners for kids: 1. Wash hands before dinner. 2. Don't complain about the food. 3. Eat when everyone else eats or when your parents say you can eat. 4. … [Read more...]

10 Finger Foods for Baby

May 10, 2013 By LaVonne

Thank you Nûby™ for sponsoring today's post. Now that he is 11 months old, my Little Man does not want to eat "baby" food any longer. He wants the same food we are eating. Usually he can eat all the things we have or at least part of our meals if I make them small enough. Here's a list of my Little Man's favorites. Finger Foods For Baby O-shaped toasted oat cereal Small pieces of lightly toasted bread with butter Small chunks very ripe peeled and pitted fruit (banana, mango, … [Read more...]

6 Tips for Breastfeeding On the Go

March 25, 2013 By LaVonne

We travel. A lot. I breastfeed. A lot. My Little Man is 9 months old and I am planning to breastfeed him until he is two. Here are my Tips for Breastfeeding On the Go: 1. Feed him when you can. Stopping at Starbucks during your drive? Feed him. Potty Break? Feed him. I have fed my son in the airport, in the restroom, in the restaurant, in the van, anywhere that is necessary. 2. Wear your nursing pads. Bring an extra pair on the travel day. There is nothing I dislike more than having a wet … [Read more...]
