In our county, we are known of our tulips. People from all over the world come to see our exquisite Tulip Festival. So, I thought, what better way to celebrate the coming of Spring this month than with thumbprint tulip cards? Three aunts have birthdays this month, so I pulled out the kids’ stamp set and helped my Little Man make some fun and easy cards.
Thumbprint Tulip Cards
So, I basically just put his thumb and fingers in the ink colors and made three thumbprints on the cardstock. He loved it and though I guided his fingers, he still liked putting the thumbprint where he wanted. He knew we were giving our aunts birthday gifts so this personalized card was just one more way to make it even more special.
I used a green marker and added stems and leaves to my Little Man’s thumbprint tulips. Such an easy, personalized card that preschool age children can help make. Plus, I know my aunts will all love seeing that this was handmade by my Little Man.

What is your favorite thing about Spring?
One thing we don’t have in our craft closet is a good set of stamps. This is a great idea; we could also use them for custom wrapping paper. Cute cards and adorable boy!
There are so many possibilities with stamps, aren’t there Dede. I love that Family Christian offers such a wide variety of products!
What a cute idea! I’ll have to use it with my pre-school class! The picture of the tulips is beautiful! I’m so ready for spring so we can go outside more play, and plant flowers ๐
Belinda, that is what our April looks like very year here in Skagit County, Washington. People come from all over the world to see our tulips. Our little town gets a lot of visitors. And yes, it is so beautiful.
I want to see tulips instead of icicles. These are cute cards.
Ha! My daughter is so sad that we didn’t get any snow in Western Washington at all. She said it didn’t feel like winter. I’m pretty happy with the warm weather — but I know that come summer when we are in a drought, I won’t be quite so happy.
i will have to use this for my grands to do they are 3 and 20 months
It will be such a nice keepsake too, Christy!
These are wonderful. I would love making cards with them and sharing them with friends.
And your friends would LOVE getting them, Patty! Personal cards are always the best!
I live near Holland, Michigan. When you said Tulip Festival, I nodded my head. It’s a beautiful time of year. But my absolute favorite part is the start of baseball season ๐ It’s real closeโฆ.
Such a beautiful time of year, Traci. I have a few baseball fans in my house. The Mariners aren’t that good, but this year they are hopeful. Our entire family is more football fans than anything though. #GoHawks ๐
These thumbprint cards are adorable! I live in a town that has a Tulip Time festival every spring!
Thank you Jamie — it is kind of you to say so. Does Tulip Time bring lots of tourists? Our small town is overrun but it is great for the local economy!
Those are adorable! What a great artist you have there! ๐
Thanks, Jamie. He wants to make cards, use stamps and/or paint daily. He loves art!
Such a cute craft that looks super easy. Thanks for sharing.
Such a simple, yet adorable idea! I know those cards would put a smile on the recipients face!
I’ll definitely use this as an art project with my granddaughter.
Those turned out really cute.
What an adorable idea! And so colorful! This would be a hit with grandparents everywhere.
