Last week I posted about ways to save while shopping. One great way I mentioned to save while shopping is to shop the end of summer clearance racks. Every store I have visited the last couple weeks has had their summer season clothing on clearance. This is a great time to take advantage of some huge savings.
My Princess is wearing size 5 and size 6 right now. She is only 4 but very tall for her age. Knowing this I decided to go shopping today buy size 7 clothes for her to wear next summer. By shopping the end of summer clearance rack today at my local department store I saved an additional 40% off the marked price. I love when stores offer additional savings for customers. Putting away clothing in my daughter’s closet is going to save me a lot of money next spring when others are shopping for summer clothing. Each piece that I purchased was only $2.39!
Here are the three outfits I bought from the end of summer clearance rack:
- Pink tank top with floral skirt
- Red shorts with red/white/blue tank top
- Black skort with pink/white/black t-shirt

In our house, we love buying the kids “surfer” brands. My husband grew up surfing and still surfs any chance he gets. Those brands are expensive when you have to buy full price. So when I can find them at this price in our local thrift store, I am very happy.

We absolutely love shopping the sale and clearance racks. I honestly don’t know when the last time I purchased something for full price was. We also love checking out the second-hand stores, especially for kids clothing!
